【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverscorrosiontestingofaluminum-basedspentnuclearfuelinsupportofgeologicrepositorydisposal(pertherequirementsin10CFR60and40CFR191).Thetestingdescribedinthisdocumentisdesignedtoprovidedataforanalysisofthechemicalstabilityandradionuclidereleasebehaviorofaluminum-basedwasteformsproducedfromaluminum-basedspentnuclearfuels.Thedataandanalysesfromthecorrosiontestingwillsupportthetechnicalbasisforinclusionofaluminum-basedspentnuclearfuelsintherepositorysourceterm.Interimstorageandtransportationofthespentfuelwillprecedegeologicdisposal;therefore,referenceisalsomadetotherequirementsforinterimstorage(per10CFR72)andtransportation(per10CFR71).Theanalysesthatwillbebasedonthedatadevelopedarealsonecessarytosupportthesafetyanalysesreports(SARs)andperformanceassessments(PAs)fordisposalsystems.1.2Spentnuclearfuelthatisnotreprocessedmustbesafelymanagedpriortotransportationto,anddisposalin,ageologicrepository.Placementisaninterimstoragefacilitymayincludedirectplacementoftheirradiatedfuelortreatmentofthefuelpriortoplacement,orboth.Thealuminum-basedwasteformsmayberequiredtobereadyforgeologicdisposal,orroadre
