【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsanddescribesmethodsfortheinvestigationandassessmentofthegroundgasesmethaneandcarbondioxideduringnewdevelopmentofaffectedsites,andisnotintendedfortheassessmentofcompleteddevelopments.Itdetailsaprocessthatcanbeusedtoeffectivelydemonstratethatrisksposedbythepotentialpresenceofgroundgashavebeenadequatelyconsideredandaddressed.Itpresentstheassessmentanddecisionmakingstagesintheformofaprocessflowchart,accompanyinginformationandexplanatoryguidanceand,whereappropriate,referencestootherguidanceandinformation.Thestandarddoesnotconsidergroundgasesotherthanmethaneandcarbondioxide.NOTEOthergasesmightrequirespecificriskassessmentsandhavetobeconsideredseparately.
